have compiled a list of some of frequently asked questions
relating to IR35 solutions, which is continuously
updated. If you question doesn't appear, please email
us and we will be happy to help you.
What
is an Umbrella Company? An umbrella company
allows contractors to have all the benefits of contracting
without the concerns of IR35 and the hassle of running
their own limited company.
How
does Dasa Consulting Ltd operate? You sign
up as an employee/consultant of Dasa Consulting
Ltd. We sign a contract with your agency (or end
client) once you have agreed the terms of the contract.
Your contract starts; you submit your expense claims
online in the consultants area. We invoice the client,
who then pays us. Once funds are received we deduct
the appropriate amounts for tax, national insurance,
holiday fund and the administrative fee, then we
make payment directly to your bank account.
What
makes Dasa Consulting Ltd so unique from other management
companies? Dasa Consulting Ltd has a very
generous dispensation scheme approved by the Inland
Revenue. We always pay on time and there is no start
up fee or minimum joining period. Our fees are low
and there is no termination charge. We try to understand
the concerns of the consultants and have a personal
relationship with each consultant.
What
benefits does Dasa Consulting Limited provide?
We provide a completely 'hassle-free' solution,
with no 'hidden' costs:

queries
g) Contributory pension scheme
h) Access to mortgages, health insurance and income
protection designed specifically for contractors
and freelancers
i) Only £25.00 CHAPS transfer fees
j) You can leave whenever you wish -one week notice.
What
is an approved dispensation scheme? An
approved dispensation scheme is an agreement between
the Inland Revenue and an employer, allowing the
employer to reimburse specific expenditure. The
dispensation scheme will have approved rates of
expenses that can be reimbursed.
Is
there a set-up charge or any other payments?
No. You only pay an administrative fee each time
we process your pay roll. There are no hidden charges.
How
does Dasa Consulting Ltd help me avoid IR35?
Being an employee/consultant of Dasa Consulting
Ltd, you will not fall under IR35 rules. We will
deduct income tax and national insurance from your
fees before you receive payment from us.
What
happens after I register? Registration
is completed online. You will then be sent an email
advising you of your username and password to enable
you to complete your online expenses. Your account
manager will contact you to help you enter your
first expense report. You will need to provide your
account manager with a contact name and number for
your agency/client; they will contact them and arrange
the necessary paperwork.
Is there a setup charge?
There is no set up charge. You will only be charged
when your timesheets are processed and when you
are paid.
What do I do when my
contract ends? Dasa Consulting Ltd will
only charge you when we process your timesheet/expenses.
At the end of your contact we will write you a termination
letter. You can continue with us for free or if
you want we will send you your P45.
Who do I contact if I
have any questions before or after I join Dasa Consulting
Ltd? Our phone lines are open between 9.00am
to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. You can feel free to
contact us with any questions you may have about
our service. You can email your account manager
at any time.

cost? Our fees are fixed at 3% of the invoice
amount, there are no 'hidden charges. Everything
is shown on our fee page.

claimed? By joining Dasa Consulting Ltd
you can reduce your tax and NI liabilities by claiming
back Inland Revenue approved expenses. Click

Where do I send my timesheet
to? Your signed (authorised) timesheet
and expenses should be faxed to us on 0870 850 6107.
The original copies should be sent to your agency.
When do I have to send
in my timesheets? Send in your timesheet
immediately as we can then in turn invoice your
agency before their deadline.
When will I be paid?
We run payroll twice a week, Tuesday and Friday.
This allows us to pay you at least once a week.
If you miss the Tuesdays pay run you will be paid
on Friday.
How am I paid?
We pay by BACS and CHAPS. When a payment is processed
by BACS it takes 2-3 working days to clear. You
can however request a CHAPS transfer for a reduced
bank fee of £25.00. This will enable the funds
to be credited into your account the same/next day.
How do I know when I've
been paid? The payslip will be emailed
to you on the same day we process a payment. The
payslip will show the net figure being transferred
to your account as well as the deductions made for
PAYE, national insurance, our fees and any other
deductions made. The expenses processed will also
be shown on the payslip.
How do I know that my
pay is correct? When you are paid you will
receive a payslip showing all the details of deductions
and earnings. You can also call our accounts department
to verify your pay if in doubt.
How are sickness pay
and holiday pay calculated? The holiday
pay entitlement is calculated as 8% of your monthly
pay. We retain this amount to create a fund, so
that we can pay you holiday pay when you are on
holiday or off sick. If you don't claim for holiday/sickness
throughout your contract, at the end of your contract
the money we hold back will be paid to you as a
bonus.
How do I claim for holidays?
If you are going on holiday, inform us by email
and fax. Please give us one week notice.
What happens with my
VAT, PAYE and NI liabilities? Dasa Consulting
Ltd will take care of all your VAT, PAYE and NI
liabilities. VAT, PAYE and NI will be deducted and
paid to the Inland Revenue by us.
What if I decided to
leave your scheme? If you decide to leave
our scheme, just inform us by email
or post. We will collect all outstanding funds and
make a final payment to your bank account. We will
then issue you a P45. You can join us again at any
time.
